Semi- Finals - Week ending - March 11, 2022

CTV Division 1: Sophia Heidinger, JH Bruns Broncos, Forward #16 

During the semi-final series, Sophia Heidinger dominated in the series against the CSLR Renards. Game 1 was a hat trick, but CSLR won 4-3 in overtime. In game 2, Sophia had an impact game assisting on the first goal and scoring the other 2 as the Broncos clinched the 3-0 victory, keeping the series alive. In game 3, CSLR kept Sophia off the scoreboard but her relentless back checking and defensive manoeuvres lead to a hard fought 3-2 game and series win.  JH Bruns advances to the League Championship Finals.  Congratulations Sophia! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2:  Jayna Veldhuis, Sanford Sabres, Forward #5 

Jayna Jeldhuis constributed to the Sabres’ sparkling series win over the Sturgeon Heights Huskies in their semi-final match up.  In game 1, she started her team off scoring the first goal in their nail bitter 2-1 win. In game 2, Jayna dominated the offensive zone, and although she did not score a point, she created multiple scoring opportunities. In game 3, the mighty Sabres sliced through the Huskies' defence popping in 5 goals with Jayna scoring the insurance goal. The Sabres advance to the finals. Congratulations Jayna!  

Hire Marketing Division 3: Lexis Berganini, WKC Wolverines, Forward #9 

The Wolverines over came the Glenlawn Lions to win a dramatic semi-final series. In game 1, the Wolverines squeaked out a 2-1 win with Lexis Berganini scoring a goal and adding an assist. In game 2,  the Lions roared past the Wolverines by a score of 7-4 with Lexis scoring a helper.  With both teams facing elimination in Game 3, Lexis picked up the pace and was rewarded with the game’s only goal in the first period. Along with her team, they managed to hold off the Lions for a game 3 and series win.  The WKC Wolverines advance to the finals.  Congrations Lexis!

 

Quarter Finals - Week ending - March 4, 2022

CTV Division 1: Natasha Lachiver, CSLR Renards, Forward #4

CSLR Renards Natasha Lachiver was on fire this week during her team’s quarter final series against the River East Kodiaks, dominating the ice and scoring 8 points in an incredibly tight 2:1 series win.  Natasha helped her team to come back from a 5-3 deficient in Game 1 Monday, scoring 2 goals and 2 assists with 1:16 in the third period remaining. Two days later, she score a goal and 1 helper in their 3-2 loss. On Friday’s game 3, the Renards rebounded wining 4-2 with Natasha scoring 2 goals. Congratulations Natasha! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Abby Reichert, PCI Saints, Goalie #1

PCI Saints Abby Rechert, a stellar goal keeper, was outstanding in the Saints nail biting 2-1 win over the FRC Centurions on Thursday. Abby stopped 34 of 36 shots, including a clear breakaway with just over a minute left in the game. Congratulations Abby! 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Camille Birch, WKC Wolverines, Defence #18

WKC Wolverines Camille Birch had a strong play off game in their hard fought 3-2 victory over the Dakota Lancers on Tuesday. Camille made something happen almost every shift including a goal contribution. Her hard work and skills showed, and it was almost impossible to get the puck away from her. Congratulations Camille!

 

Qualifying /Quarter Finals - Week ending - February 25, 2022

CTV Division 1: Annabelle Perrault VMC Trojans, Goalie #30

Vincent Massey Trojans' stellar goalie Annabelle Perrault was outstanding in the 2-game series against the stubborn Miles Mac Buckeyes. In game 1 on Tuesday, Annabelle stopped 46 of 48 shots with 18 of those shots in the first period. In the second game Wednesday, Annabelle put up the roadblock, stopping all 20 shots that came her way. Congratulations Annabelle! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Kira Hewitt, Garden City Gophers, Goalie #1

Garden City Gophers’ goalie Kira Hewitt had an outstanding game Tuesday in her team’s first series game against the Shaftesbury Titans.  Kira stopped all 24 shots for a shut out and a 4-0 win. In the pivotal game 3, Kira loomed large in the net helping her team to a 3-2 nail biter win stopping 21 of 23 shots. Congratulations Kira! 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Allie Ledet, WKC Wolverines, Forward #5

West Kildonan Wolverines Allie Ledet dominated in her team’s 6-2 victory against the Dakota Lancers on Thursday. Allie was strong defensively causing many turnovers that her teammates took advantage of, and she was awarded with 2 goals and 2 assists. Congratulations Allie!

 

Week ending - February 18, 2022

CTV DIVISION 1: Katrina Johnston, JH Bruns Broncos, Goalie #1

JH Bruns Broncos goaltender Katrina Johnston had a stellar final week of regular season play.  On Monday, she stopped all 31 shots directed her way for a shut out in the Broncos 6-0 win over the Miles Mac Buckeyes. The next day, she stopped 15 of 17 shots, some brilliant, in the Broncos 3-2 loss to the Oak Park Raiders. Katrina finished off the week stopping 25 of 27 shots in a 4-2 win over the Churchill Bulldogs.  An incredible performance. Congratulations Katrina! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Karly Vince, PCI Saints, Forward #10

PCI Saints Karly Vince, one of the most consistent players on the ice and one of the fastest skaters in the League had an outstanding performance against the Sturgeon Heights Huskies on Thursday, scoring all 4 goals in their 4-0 win. Karly was strong offensively and defensively, working end to end, breaking up plays and causing havoc against her opponent.  Karly is the Saints leading scorer with 27 points for the season.  Congratulations Karly! 

Hire Markeing Division 3: Kayla Tomsic, Glenlawn Lions, Forward #8

The Lions roar again and this time Kayla Tomsic who scored in all 4 games they played this week. Kaya started off the week Tuesday, assisting on 2 goals in their 8-3 win over the Springfield Sabres. She followed up the next day with 1 goal in their back-to-back 6-2 win.  On Thursday, she bursted out in her team’s game against the CLC Scorpions with a hattrick and an assist in a thrilling 7-6 win. Kayla ended the week with another goal and assist for a 4-3 win over the Westwood Warriors. Kayla is the Lions second leading scorer with 33 points for the season. Congratulations Kayla!

 

Week ending - February 11, 2022

CTV Division 1: Maia Ehmann, SMA Flames, Forward #5

The flame was shining bright on Tuesday as SMA Flames Maia Ehmann torched the VMC Trojans, notching 4 goals and 1 assist. She was especially effective capitalizing on Trojans’ turnovers with 3 of her 4 goals resulting from them. The next day, Maia single-highhandedly tipped the scales for her team scoring a hattrick and an assist in their 7-2 win over the CSLR Renards. Maia is the Flames leading scorer with 45 points so far this season.  Congratulations Maia! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Hope Nerbas, Garden City Gophers, Forward #12

GCC Gophers Hope Nerbas was in top form in her teams double header against the SJR Eagles this week.  On Thursday, she was instrumental in a close 2-0 win. On Friday, she was a threat anytime she was on the ice. She fore checked hard causing several turnovers and was rewarded with 3 goals and an assist in the 6-2 win. Hope is the Gophers leading scorer with 36 points so far this season.  Congratulations Hope! 

Hire Marketing Division 2: Emily Schmeichel, Dakota Lancers, Goalie #35

The backbone of the Dakota Lancers Emily Schmeichel was red hot this week. Against the Springfield Sabres on Tuesday, she stopped 16 of 18 shots for a 6-2 win.  On Friday, she made numerous great plays stopping all 48 shots and several breakaways for a 2-0 shutout over the Glenlawn Lions. Congratulations Emily!

 

Week ending - February 4, 2022

CTV DIVISION 1: Courtney Dupuis, Churchill Bulldogs, Forward #10

Churchill Bulldogs Courtney Dupuis lit a fire under her teammates, and together, they rolled to a 7-3 win over the Beliveau Barracudas on Wednesday. Courtney dominated the forward line tallying 3 goals and an assist in their runaway win. Although the Bulldogs were beaten by the CSLR Renards by a score of 3-1, Courtney stopped a lot of pressure shots from the point and created several scoring opportunities. Congratulations Courtney! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Mackenzie Kabernick, Sanford Sabres, Forward #10

Sanford Sabres Mackenzie Kabernick, a very skilled player who was able to finish around the net, scored 3 goals and added 2 assists in their 7-3 win over the SJR Eagles Wednesday.  Then in Thursday’s rematch, Mackenzie showed her skills again scoring another goal and an assist in their 4-0 win. Mackenzie worked hard from the moment the puck until the final whistle. Congratulations Mackenzie!

 Hire Marketing Division 3: Sara Taylor, Murdock MacKay, Goalie #1

The backbone of her team, Murdoch Mackay’s Sara Taylor was at her best this week, stopping 35 out of 36 shots for a 4-1 victory over the powerhouse WKC Wolverines Monday.   And in Friday’s game against the Dakota Lancers, Sara claimed a 3-0 shut out win, stopping all 30 shots sent her way. coming her way. Sara made some tough saves and left few rebounds to secure the win.  Congratulations Sara!

 

Week ending - January 28, 2022

CTV Division 1: Kelsey Forrest, Oak Park Raisers, Forward #11

Kelsey Forrest is the Raiders big star, who knows only 2 speeds - fast and faster. In Tuesday’s game against the CSLR Renards, Kelsey worked the ice and was rewarded with a gap closing goal in the 3rd period, but the Renards scored unanswered goal for a 4-2 win. Two days later, Kelsey scored two top shelf goals, one a killer wrist shot past the VMC Trojans goalie, for a tight 2-1 win. Kelsey is the Raiders’ leading scorer with 10 points for the season. Congratulations Kelsey! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2:  Mikaela Nimetz, Shaftesbury Titans, Defence #5

Shaftesbury Titans Mikaela Nimetz didn't collect any points in her team’s 3-1 victory over the CPET Canadiennes on Friday this week, but she carried the play from the back end, stopping numerous scoring opportunities and leading the rush in the offensive zone. She absolutely dominated and was a standout player.  Congratulations Mikaela! 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Cassidy Turski, CLC Scorpions, Defence #26 and Payton Turski, CLC Scorpions,  Forward #15

This week’s Player of the Week goes to the dynamic sister duo Cassidy and Payton Turski. During their team’s 8-4 win over the Glenlawn Lions on Monday, Cassidy scored 2 goals and Payton scored another, on strong zone entries.  Then the next day, in a very close 2-1 victory over the Westwood Warriors, Cassidy claimed the first goal with an assist from Payton, and then Payton followed with the game winner. A formidable twosome! Congratulations Cassidy and Payton!

 

Week ending - January 21, 2022

CTV Division 1: Norah Collins, CJS Olympiens, Forward #4

CJS Olympiens' Norah Collins was instrumental in helping her team to 2 victories this week. In their game against the Churchill Bulldogs on Tuesday, Norah scored 1 goal and added an assist.  Her relentless forechecking and backchecking also limited the Bulldogs scoring chances, helping her team earn a 6-0 victory.  Then on Thursday, Norah turned up the jets against in her team's game against the CSLR Renards, scoring 2 goals in their 5-2 win.  Norah is currently the Olympiens leading scorer with 26 points for the season.  Congratulations Norah! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Columbia Klostermaier-Starkewski, SJR Eagles, Goalie #35

SJR Eagles’ Goaltender Columbia Klostermaier-Starkewski was the backbone in two Eagles wins this week. Columbia stopped 28 out of 31 shots against the Shaftesbury Titans on Wednesday, securing the tight 4-3 win. Then the next day, Columbia threw down a big barrier, stopping 23 of 24 shots for a 4-1 victory over the PCI Saints. Congratulations Columbia! 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Chloe Minkus, Glenlawn Lionis, Forward #10

Glenlawn Lions’ rising star Chloe Minkus had a terrific week, with one gear, she was fast and tenacious, contributing to two big wins for her team.  In their game against the Springfield Sabres on Thursday, Chloe scored the hattrick.  The next day, against Murdoch MacKay, Chloe scored another 2 goals and a helper during their 7-1 win. Chloe is the Lions third ranked scorer with 13 points for the season. Congratulations Chloe!

 

Week ending - December 22, 2021 - First Half Season Concludes

CTV Division 1: Ryane Rollwagen, Miles Mac Buckeyes, Forward #4
On Wednesday, Ryane Rollwagen upped her game against the Oak Park Raiders by scoring 2 goals and adding 2 assists for a convincing 6-2 win. She dominated the ice, controlling the puck, digging in the corners and causing offensive havoc in front of the net.  An excellent athlete and team player.  At the halfway point, Ryane is her team’s leading goal scorer with 16 points. Congratulations Ryane!

Winnipeg Free Press Division #2: Abigail Warkentin, Sturgeon Heights Huskies, Goalie #35
The pillar of the Huskies team comes through again. Sturgeon Heights Goalie Abigail Warkentin was her usual terrific self, stopping 21 out of 23 shots including all 3 shots in the shoot out to secure her team’s 3-2 SO win against the PCI Saints on Wednesday.  Congratulations Abigail!

Hire Marketing Division 3: Ashlyn Salamon, Dakota Lancers, Forward #24
Ashlyn Salamon, the spirit of the Dakota Lancers and a great role model for her teammates, enters every game with passion and determination. On Monday against the WKC Wolverines, she scored a goal and added an assist in a dominating 5-1 win. At the halfway point in the season, Ashlyn is also her team’s leading scorer with 17 points. Congratulations Ashlyn!

 

Week ending - December 17, 2021 

CTV Division 1: Emma Pow, VMC Trojans, Defence #3

It's not the size of the player in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the player and VMC Trojans’ Emma Pow proved that in her team’s 4-0 victory against the River East Kodiaks Wednesday.  Emma had one assist but her ability to anticipate and strong skating skills enabled her to control the puck and the game. Congratulations Emma! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Gwen Bestland, Sandford Sabres, Forward #8

Sanford Sabres Gwen Bestland was on fire this past week. On Monday, she scored 2 goals and added an assist. Her offensive zone forecheck lead to the team’s third goal, breaking the tie and unleashing an unanswered scoring streak for the 5-2 win over the PCI Saints.  Two days later Gwen added 2 assists in the team’s 5-0 win over the Shaftesbury Titans. Gwen is the Sabres leading scorer with 19 points. Congratulations Gwen! 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Madisen Shelley, Glenlawn Lions, Forward #19

Glenlawn Lions Madisen Shelley helped her team beat the WKC Wolverines by a score of 5-3 on Tuesday, with her consistent forechecking and back checking.  Three days later, her hard work earned her a hat trick and an assist in a thrilling 6-5 victory over the Dakota Lancers. Madisen is one of the Lions leading scorers with 11 points for the season. Congratulations Madisen!

 

Week ending - December 10, 2021 

CTV Division 1: Sara Johnstone, SMA Flames, Forward #21

SMA Flames Sara Johnstone was on fire Thursday racking up 5 points for a big contribution to her team’s 5-2 victory over the Churchill Bulldogs.  Playing with plenty of energy, Sara worked both ends making several quality offensive plays resulting in 3 assists and 2 goals in the third period.  Sara is the second highest goal scorer for the Flames with 16 points for the season. Congratulations Sara! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Kira Hewitt, Garden City Gophers, Goalie #1

Garden City Gophers Kira Hewitt had an outstanding week leading to 3 wins for her team. On Tuesday vs. the Sturgeon Heights Huskies, Kira stopped 17 of 18 shots for a 3- 1 victory.  Thursday, she shut the door on the Shaftesbury Titans for a 3-0 win, and the next day, she stopped another 24 of 26 shots for her team’s third win of the week, 3-2 over the FRC Centurions.  Congratulations Kira! 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Gabriela Lerat, Westwood Warriors, Forward #6

On Tuesday, Westwood Warriors Gabriela Lerat scored one of two goals in her team’s 2-4 loss to the CLC Scorpions. She worked both ice ends, back-checking, forechecking, making the CLC Scorpions earn every point.  On Friday, Gabriela scored 2 goals in her team’s 3-1 victory over the Dakota Lancers.  Gabriela is her team’s leading scorer with 19 points.  Congratulations Gabriela!

 

Week ending - December 3, 2021 

CTV Division 1: Maisie Duffin, Beliveau Barracudas, Forward #17

Beliveau Barracudas’ Maisie Duffin, a dominating forward, led her squad offensively in their game against Miles Mac Buckeyes on Wednesday, and she was rewarded with the game's opening goal and an assist in their 4-2 victory.  All game long Maisie had the Buckeyes defence wondering where she was on the ice. Her play making and her goal scoring ability make her a threat when she steps on to the ice. Maisie has 9 points for the season.  Congratulations Maisie! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2:  Emily Kay, CPET Canadiennes, Goalie #31

CPET Canadiennes’ Emily Kay stopped 26 of 29 quality shots in their thrilling over time 3-2 loss to the Sanford Sabres on Tuesday. With her team badly out shot, Emily kept her team in the game forcing overtime.  During Friday’s game against the SJR Eagles, Emily stopped all 33 shots in regulation and over time, along with 3 shots in the shoot out, forcing a rare 0-0 tie game score.  Congratulations Emily! 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Jordyn Szwaluk, Westwood Warriors, Defence #10

Westwood Warriors’ Jordyn Szwaluk played strong in her defensive zone during Friday’s game against the Glenlawn Lions.  She made several good first passes creating breakout situations for her teammates.   Jordyn scored on a blazer of a shot from the point to defeat the determined Lions 3-2.  Jordyn has 7 points for the season. Congratulations Jordyn!

 

Week ending - November 26, 2021 

CTV Division 1: Gwen Ostermann, VMC Trojans, Forward #2

VMC Trojans’ Gwen Ostermann was a dominating force in both games this week. During their game against the Miles Mac Buckeyes Wednesday, Gwen saw the o-zone well getting to the open spots while finding the back of the net to contribute to their 5-3 victory. On Friday against the Beliveau Barracudas, she improved her offensive output potting two goals and leading several rushes up the ice for a thrilling 3-2 win.  Gwen is the leading scorer for her team with 9 points so far this season.  Congratulations Gwen! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Nicole Romanuk, Sanford Sabres, Forward #13

Sanford Sabres Nicole Romanuk had an outstanding week helping her team achieve 2 victories. Nicole helped increase her points per game total to 1.6 by netting the late game winner to defeat the FRC Centurions 1-0 on Monday. Then during the Sabres game against the Sturgeon Heights Huskies on Wednesday, she contribute to 3 of 4 goals, setting up the first two then scoring the insurance tally with just over 5 mins left in the game. Nicole is a leading scorer with 8 points so far this season.  Congratulations Nicole! 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Dilyn Whiteman, Springfield Sabres, Goalie #1

Springfield Sabres’ goaltender Dilyn Whiteman backstopped her team to a pair of wins last week registering a stunning . 928 save percentage including stopping 46 of 47 shots in a 2-1 victory over rival Murdoch MacKay on Tuesday. Then on Friday, she helped her team win a high scoring affair 7-5 over cross town foe Westwood Warriors. Congratulations Dilyn! 

 

Week ending - November 19, 2021 

CTV Division 1: Natasha Lachiver, CSLR Renards, Forward #4

CSLR Renards’ Natasha Lachiver who’s counted on to score big goals for her team, did just that.  On Monday, she scored the winning goal "top cheddar" short side in a hard fought 3-2 victory over the Churchill Bulldogs. Then on Friday, playing only half the game, she again showed her force and determination scoring a goal and added 2 assists to close the week with 4-points.  Congratulations Natasha! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Kate Steiman, SJR Eagles, Forward #2

SJR Eagles Kate Steiman is a fiery forward who picked up a goal and added 2 assists in her teams' dominant performance over the Sturgeon Heights Huskies on Thursday. Her phenomenal fore check resulted in a beautiful breakaway goal and a body checking penalty from the frustrated Huskies defence.  Kate is currently the Eagles scoring leader with 7 points. Congratulations Kate! 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Ella Maternick, Glenlawn Lions, Defence #9

Glenlawn Lions’ Ella Maternick is a powerhouse on the ice.  She’s always working, constantly forechecking and backchecking, digging the puck out of the corners.  On Friday, she opened the scoring against the Dakota Lancers in the third period. Later with the game tied 2-2, she set up her teammate for the winning goal at the 0:57 mark and surviving a 3-2 win.  Ella is currently the Lions scoring leader with 8 points. Congratulations Ella!

 

Week ending - November 12, 2021

CTV DIVISION 1: Payton Durand, CJS Olympiens, Forward #25

In a thrilling game that ended in a shoot out Tuesday at Dakota CC, CJS Olympiens’ Payton Durand scored on the 8th shot sealing the 1-0 victory for her team. Payton dominated from end to end in regulation and overtime forechecking and backchecking. Three days later, Payton had another great overall game scoring 2 goals in her team’s 6-0 win over the Oak Park Raiders.  Payton has 5 pts so far for the season. Congratulations Payton! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Emma Duncan, GCC Gophers, Defence #16

Congratulations to GCC Gophers’ Emma Duncan, who was a force on the blue line preventing her opposition from gaining an ice area on Tuesday.  She also scored a goal to further help her team beat the FRC Centurions 4-1. On Friday, Emma created several 3 on 1's with her ability to cut thru the opposition's defence, and assisted in a goal, helping her team defeat the Shaftesbury Titans 1-0. 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Hailey Davy, Murdoch MacKay, Defence #16

Murdock MacKay’s Hailey Davy sored a hattrick in her team’s 3-0 victory over the Glenlawn Lions this week. She had a great game both offensively and defensively. Friday, Hailey once again worked hard on the boards to get the puck to her teammates and was rewarded with a goal of her own to defeat the Dakota Lancers 3-2. Congratulations Hailey!

 

Week ending - November 5, 2021

CTV Division 1: Abby Ulrich, River East Kodiaks, Forward #15

River East Kodiaks Abby Ulrich was a powerhouse scoring 2 goals and adding 2 assists in their 8-5 victory over the Beliveau Barracudas on Friday. While the scoring was balanced, Abby's first goal was very impactful as it came only 23 seconds after the Barracudas surprised the Kodiaks with 2 quick goals. Abby worked the corners and behind the net hard and had the Barracudas defenders on their toes all game.  Congratulations Abby! 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Bronwyn Holroyde, Sturgeon Heights Huskies, Forward #13

Sturgeon Heights Huskies Bronwyn Holroyde was a scoring machine against the Shaftesbury Titans on Wednesday, scoring all 3 goals in her Huskies 3-0 win.  Bronwyn was a threat every time she was on the ice.  End to end she forechecked and backchecked, and her hard work was rewarded landing her in the right place at the right time.  Congratulations Bronwyn! 

Hire Marketing Division 3:  Sidney Green, CLC Scorpions, Goalie #1

CLC Scorpions Sidney Green goalie was on fire this week claiming an astonishing record. On Monday, she stopped 32 of 34 shots in her team’s back and forth 3-2 win over Murdoch MacKay.  Then, on Thursday, she stopped 33 of 34 shots assisting in the Scorpions 4-1 win over the Springfield Sabres. Sidney played the angles right and left with few rebounds making it difficult for the opposing teams to score.  Congratulations Sidney! 

 

Week ending - October 29, 2021

CTV Division 1: Ava Memka, JH Bruns Broncos, Forward #13

Congratulations to JH Bruns Broncos Ava Memka for starting off the season with 5 points in the first week of regular season play.  In her season opener, Ava scored 1 goal and 1 assist in their hard fought 4-3 win over the VMC Trojans, and then at the end of the week, she scored a goal and 2 assists in a 4-3 win over the River East Kodiaks. Ava had a dominant performance rushing the puck up the ice and fiercely back checking each game, and her hustle helped turn the tide in the Bronco's favour. 

Winnipeg Free Press Division 2: Carissa Clabertt, FRC Centurions, Forward #5

Congratulations to FRC Centurions Carissa Clabertt who worked hard in their 5-4 OT loss to the PCI Saints on Wednesday. Carissa had a stellar game scoring 1 goal but could not get the winner for her team. The next day, she worked hard on every shift, fore checking and back checking and was rewarded, scoring both goals in a 2-0 victory over the hard skating Shaftesbury Titans. 

Hire Marketing Division 3: Avery Fyfe, WKC Wolverines, Forward #10

Congratulations to WKC Wolverines Avery Fyfe who was red hot as the puck was finally dropped in the 25th year of entertaining and exciting hockey. In their home opener on Tuesday, Avery scored 2 goals in their 4-0 win over the never say die Dakota Lancers. Two days later, Avery was strong on the skates and knew where to be at the right time, potting the hattrick and adding an assist in their 6-3 win over the determined Springfield Sabres.
